Lyn-Genet Recitas- Director of Nutrition
Lyn-Genet  Recitas  opened Neighborhood Holistic a non profit holistic health center in Central Harlem in 2007. Neighborhood Holistic offers all of their healing modalities on a sliding scale, so that all residents of Harlem can enjoy the benefits of holistic health.Lyn-Genet has been practicing yoga for 35 years and became certified in  Chinese  Food Theory over 20 yrs ago and is a holistic nutritionist. She is  pursuing her PhD in Naturopathic Medicine. In  addition, she is certified in yoga, prenatal yoga, herbology and homeopathy. She receives  referral from over 50 health professionals based on her work with  physical rehabilitation and nutrition. Lyn-Genet  has developed "The Plan" an anti-inflammatory nutrition  protocol which has helped  thousands of clients with their health and  weight goals.


Melissa Groeger
Missy’s passion for fitness and nutrition is contagious. Missy’s clinical nutrition and pharmacological background combined with her personal training career have enabled her to develop a comprehensive understanding of how to fuel the body with proper nutrition to reach optimal physical performance. Boxing, plyometrics, yoga, weights and bands are examples of the tools Missy has utilized to develop her style of training. She is certified in personal training from the National Academy of Sports Medicine.  Missy’s knowledge of anatomy, physiology, organic chemistry and medical nutrition provides her with the tools to help anyone master their fitness and wellness goals.


Ghylian Bell- Director of Yoga
Ghylian Bell started her yoga practice in 1995  at Yoga Shambala In  New York and Hatha at Sacred Movement Yoga, and Be Yoga in Los Angeles.  In 2000 she received her children’s yoga certification from  Next Generation Yoga for Kids, which then led to her  ISHTA yoga certification with teacher Alan Finger in New York cities Be  Yoga. Among her many other teachers are Heart of Yoga’s Mark Whitwell and  Manju Jois eldest son of Sri Pattahbi Jois.


Janet Bardini, L.Ac
Janet  Bardini received her Master of Science in Acupuncture from the Pacific  College of Oriental Medicine, New York. She is licensed in New York and  Connecticut, and is a Board Certified Diplomate in Acupuncture through  the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental  Medicine. Her studies of Oriental Medicine have taken her to China,  where she studied in various hospitals and clinics in Beijing.  Janet’s  local hospital experience includes an internship at St. John's Riverside  Hospital in Yonkers.

Jaha
Jaha is dedicated to guiding individuals to having a a life filled with passion and purpose. As a former collegiate athlete with more than 10 years experience in martial arts training, Jaha has discovered the empowering art forms of Warrior Flow Yoga, Taijiquan (Tai Chi), Qi Qong, Shaolin, WuDang Kung Fu, Bagua Zhang, Escrima, Muay Thai which are all incorporated into his dynamic healing martial arts system called JAHAO- "the way of dignity". The emphasis of his teachings are creating balance, health, harmony and happiness.

Salaam Jaha
Salaam Jaha is an experienced  practitioner with over 20 years of healing and wellness experience. She is a    writer, practitioner of integrative wellness, minister, educator and business  owner. She has studied business, wellness and spirituality at Columbia, Cornell, University of New Mexico, SUNY as well as with renowned holistic healers. She holds certifications in Family    Development, ThetaHealing, Reikii, and Reflexology.

Nafisa Sharriff
Nafisa Sharriff is a Meditation Master, Interfaith Minister and teacher of Spiritual Tools for Transformation.  She has studied in India, Egypt and New York City.  Integrating the unique blend if her spiritual experiences, Nafisa founded Entering the Holy of Holies, An Institute of Learning and Healing, Inc.  In addition to being the founder and CEO, Nafisa facilitates a Rite of Passage program for women and conducts workshops, classes and retreats in meditation, stress management, inner healing and Spiritual Tools for Transformation. She is also an  accomplished performer and has danced and choreographed for numerous  musicians, artists, filmmakers and dance troupes.

Ken Gibson
Ken  Gibson is the founder and head instructor if Pouncing Tigers, He has  been studying martial arts for 20 years and is trained in Hapkido,  Russian Sambo, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Farang Mu Sul, Boxing, Kick Boxing,  Escrima and Estacada. He taught adults for over 10 years at martial arts  schools through out New York City. He started the Pouncing Tigers to  bring the benefits of martial arts to children. He believes that with a  few simple rules, children can have fun while learning discipline, self  control and respect.

Katie Kheel
Katie Kheel graduated cum laude from Connecticut College with a BA in Dance and Government. She has performed in NYC and Westchester with Eliza Miller Dance, the Rebudal Dance Group, and Lenore Eggleston and Dancers. Katie currently teaches dance  to children at Neighborhood Holistic in Harlem and Discovery Programs on the Upper West Side. She has also taught a "Thriller" class for a VH-1 event, as well as at Muscota New School in Inwood and Moving Arts Dance in Harvard, MA. 


Gabriele Tranchina
Gabriele Tranchina is an internationally known jazz vocalist. She also studied dance professionally in Germany and NYC and has a teaching degree in music and physical education from J.W. Goethe University, Frankfurt/M. She has produced 2 CD's called "The Old Country" and "A Song Of Love's Color". Besides being a professional singer she plays the guitar. Gabriele is a certified voice teacher (L3) in the Somatic Voice Technique™  and acertified (L1) Music Together Teacher a music and movement program for infants, toddlers and preschoolers.
